• Question: How soon was it into your school career that you decided to pursue science??

      Hi @632hrtd49,
      I didn’t really decide that I wanted to be a scientist until I was about 16 years old. I had studied science all the way through school – I enjoyed biology and chemistry and I was aiming to be a dentist. However, after a week’s work experience with a local dentist – I was put off for life and couldn’t see myself doing that as a job every day for the rest of my life – what happened if a kid or an older person bite me!! Ouch. So, I spoke to our careers advisor as school and she told me to look into science and I have never looked back since 🙂 Thanks, Gemma
