      Hi @skyebroadband,
Thank you for your interesting question. I don’t think that we will see a cure for all the different types of cancer that we know about today because I think that it’s going to be a long road left for us as scientists to travel and discover before we know everything that there is to know about cancer but, I think everything we learn is good news for cancer patients. Cancer is phrase used for describing many difference diseases that have the same endpoint – uncontrolled growth of cells/tissue by damaged (mutated) cells. Each cancer is complex and different and there are even distinct forms of cancer in the same tissue – different types of cancer of colon, breast, liver or brain. New drugs are rare but I think we know more about the drugs we have available to us that we can use them in a better way than we could a few years ago so that treatments become more targeted. I don’t think that we will have a single cure for all cancers but I hold out hope that one day this will be possible. I just don’t think that I will be here to see it. It would be amazing if you were able to find a cure though and good luck to you. I will keep trying!
I hope that answers your question. Thanks, Gemma
