      That is a tough question!

I wish I knew more about physics to answer your question better. I do believe the whole universe (and even time!) started with the Big Bang, because I trust the calculations performed by my fellow scientists. It blows my mind when I try and think how all the matter in the universe as we know it was concentrated in the space of a pinhead, very very densely and then it exploded and expanded and created stars and planets and complex molecules like DNA and proteins and life! Life with a complex brain that ended up trying to understand how it all started.

The other question you ask, why it all started; that is something that I think we all as humans ask ourselves, if there is any meaning to our whole existence. Most of the times the way I feels is that there is no real reason for it, it just happened, like many things in our world, like the existence of life in our planet. But that doesn’t make it any less special! Of all the possibilities and things that could happen the chances of us being here are tiiiiiny and yet here we are!

      Hi There,
You really are a real phyicist or will be! I am a biologist and sometimes I think biologist and phycisists do not peak the same language, even when we are both speaking in English!

To me, the big bang theory is just exactly that, a theory. It is a very strong and well suported theory which many as become to accept as true but it is a theory which is very difficult to prove definitively one way or the other. But this is the attraction about science, anyone can create a theory. As long as you can defend your theory, support it with evidence you have found and produced, and debate it out logically, then your theory is as valid as any ohter.

As a scientist, I have faith in my fellow scientists. If the physicists believe that it all strated from a big bang then i believe them as they are very smart people. But because I have not researched the topic myself, I cannot hand on heart say whether this theory is true or not. There is every possibility that the World began with a peaceful and quiet attraction which grew bigger and bigger in a gentle rythm like that to a ballet. Many years ago people thought the World was flat! My point is, science is always changing. Our ideas change and belives change but what we all drive towards is finding out the truth and prove what is true. When try to find the answer to challenging questions like how did the World begin you will meet many interesting things and many wonderful people on your way to your answer. Be certain that you will learn many great things.

Soory I could not answer your question but keep on asking, it is the best way to learn.

      Loan
