      Hi Vatore,
      What a sweet question. I am a biologist and my husband is a biochemist. This is not to say that we understand what each other’s work is about! Very often my husband would try and explain his work to me and I would not understand, and then he has to tone down his language, use simple words and sometimes go as far as draw pictures! The field of science is so big and specialised that can be difficult to explain to another person, even another scientist.

      Thank you for your question. I’m a scientist and my husband is an engineer. He works in a completely different world made up of words and concepts that are quite alien to me and sometimes he thinks that I don’t talk sense a lot of the time too but, we manage to communicate with one another some how!
