      Hi Tom,
I am guessing you mean the different regions in the brain, like the cortex or the hippocampus, am I right? The heart doesn’t have many regions connected with each other like the brain. We have a heart that is basically composed of four chambers (did you know that fish only have one ventricle and one atrium?). We have two atria and two ventricles. They are connected by valves that help the blood to only flow in one direction and then, when the ventricles contract the blood comes out through the arteries, one artery sends the blood with oxygen to the whole body and the other sends the blood without oxygen to the lungs. Hope I have answered your question! Let me know if you want to know more!
