      Yes, many times. As a medical student, I worked in the operating theatre for many heart operations.

      My training also includes much time in the “cath lab,” where beating of the heart is seen using X-rays. It’s also routine these days to see the heart beat without X-rays, using ultrasound or MRI (magnetic resonance imaging).
