      Hi Cristina!

I think I said that in one of the Live Chats. I haven’t read much about this but I think it does have an effect. When we are in love many times our hearts beat faster when we see that person!
When we are in love our body produces special hormones that affect our whole body. We produce adrenaline and cortisol that is what makes us nervous, (heart racing, hands shaking and sweat). Apparently some of this hormones also help reduce the blood pressure too!
Also when we are in love we produce a hormone called oxytocin which reduces stress levels in the body also affecting the heart.
Usually many of these changes go back to normal after a while but the answer is yes, being in love affects your heart!
