      Dear Andreajalo,
You have asked the million dollar question. The answer is no-one knows. research into PMCA is a new trend. Many studies on human population have identified PMCA1 to be linked to obesity, heart disease and high blood pressure but no-one has shown how they are linked. We know that the PMCA1 function is abnormal in disease because mice which lack PMCA1 have high blood pressure and are more at risk to heart disease. It is my current project to find out the relationship between PMCA1 and heart attacks.

I hope that you have found this useful. Keep asking questions, it is the best way to learn.
